Dave Sweetman and Meg Hepler

After 20 plus years in Dunwoody, Meg and Dave sold their house so Meg could move closer to her parents in Mississippi. It was a beautiful home located near Dunwoody village with a fully renovated basement and a pool out back. It was a bittersweet move for them, but they are thankful for the 20 years. Big thanks to Richard for managing the pre-sale duties, open houses and contract negotiations so Dave could stay in the background and prepare for what comes next. We closed on time and over list price, which definitely made the transition easier. Meg has already made the move to Mississippi and Dave is excited to see what comes next for him.

Nike Ojetola

Yay For Nike! This Army Veteran turned “techy” closed on a tri-level new construction property on Atlanta’s booming and trendy West Side. Nike picked up the purchase process quickly and we had a great time bouncing all over the city. It was clear that she wanted something with that “in town” vibe and location and that’s what she got. In this market, with limited inventory and crazy competition, Nike knew if she found the perfect home, she had to act right away. Well, she did.  At the time of initial tour, she put together her offer on site and had Earnest Money in that same day. We closed 30 days later! I can’t wait to see how she designs and furnishes all three levels. It’s always rewarding to see those that serve our country get a great new home!  Congrats Nike!!!

Tom and Eileen Hepler

Tom and Eileen are repeat clients for The Beeman Group. They purchased a home 7 years ago in Roswell through us, and now they have decided to flee the hustle and bustle of metro Atlanta to enjoy their golden years in a tiny town in Mississippi. Richard and I were happy to facilitate their home sale in Georgia so they could purchase their home in Mississippi. Their house was immaculate, thanks to Eileen’s eagle eye house prep and tasteful renovations done prior to sale. As a result, we had 38 offer in 2 days(yes, 38!!) and all were well over list price.  After narrowing the field down from 38 to 4, we were able to cut it to 2 and Tom and Eileen picked the winner.  Closing went smoothly and the Heplers are on to their next adventure in “The Deeper South”. Being friends of mine for almost 30 years, they will be missed, but we are all happy for what comes next for them!

Peter and Caitlin Balawender

Another Military Family closing!!!!  Congrats to Peter and Caitlin and their family!  Peter is an Active Military member who was stationed on base in Quantico, Virginia.  With 4 young children(yes 4!!) Peter being on duty and Caitlin a full time Nurse Practitioner, they already had a full schedule, they then got news of Peter being assigned to a base here in Atlanta. With never stepping foot in Georgia prior, Peter and Caitlin flew in for one weekend to find a house for their large family. After our in office consultation, we hit the road and saw basically every house on the market in their area and price range on a Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning!  The last one we saw was for them, and with their return flight home only hours away, we stopped at a Taco Mac, broke out our laptops and submitted their offer. After some back and forth, they got the house!! That was despite multiple offers on the property. Peter and Caitlin had to navigate the contract to close, inspections, re-negotiations and closing, all from the base in Virginia. Kudos to them! It’s always gratifying helping our military families. That’s 3 in a row for The Beeman Group. Congrats to the entire Balawender crew!!!

Anna and Trevor Tow

Trevor and Anna!! This couple was such a pleasure to work with and they were so grateful, polite and thankful for even the tiniest gestures, advice or help from my end. The Alabama natives were referred to us though several of their Mississippi State University alumni friends who we have helped here in Atlanta. We could start our own sorority or fraternity at this point! Trevor and Anna were singularly focused on getting out of their short term apartment and buying a house for the two of them and dog, Jake. These troopers toured almost 40 properties in 3 weekends. If it existed, we saw it!  The end result, one more bedroom than we thought we could get, a perfect backyard for Jake and 1,000 more square feet than we thought. We are thrilled for the three of them and for what comes next!!

Melissa Sawyers

Congratulations to Melissa! A native of metro Atlanta, Melissa is no stranger to the area. With that in mind, she knew the area that she wanted, the features that she wanted and the price that she wanted. Melissa and I took numerous weekend and evening trips to properties, but she wasn’t about to buy one that didn’t work for her, her four legged friend and her family. As the 2022 holiday season approached, came and went, we made a push to get it done and we did in 2023. Melissa’s new home is a blank slate for her to put her “handyman skills” to work, while also being in the neighborhood that she wanted. I look forward to seeing the finished product in the months to come!

Don Weitzel

It was a pleasure to work with Don twice in one calendar year for his Real Estate needs. Don is no stranger to buying and selling Real Estate and in 2022, he found himself “in between” houses. Don reached out to us, and we got him a nice rental property in short fashion. After some time there, and keeping a constant eye on the market, Don decided it was time to put down permanent roots again. He was a pleasure to work with and the end result is a gorgeous home within walking distance to shops, restaurants, taverns, you name it. I look forward to the cocktail/dinner party once he gets settled in!

Janaki Tambe

Don’t let Janaki’s bright smile fool you! She is a bulldog negotiator and will never be pushed around. The sellers on the other side learned that lesson, but both sides came away very happy in the end. Janaki was in and out of the buyer market for quite some time, but when she made the decision to make the move, she made the decision. She knew exactly where she wanted to be, down to the specific neighborhood. After going Under Contract, we realized some colleagues of hers had purchased there recently as well. With a creative mind and the smarts to back it up, I’m sure she will make her place even more amazing in no time. Congrats, Janaki!!

Nnamdi Mbagwu

Happy New Year 2023! Nnamdi was the first Beeman Group closing of the year. Nnamdi worked with our lender partner, Andy Beeman through a VA loan program(thanks for your service, Nnamdi). This was his first purchase, but he was able to pick up the process very quickly and was always eager to learn more. From financing to inspections, to closing and everything in between, Nnamdi was engaged and went with the flow. The end result was a great place with tons of rooms for long visits from family overseas. His biggest issue right now is furnishing all that space. Good problem to have!

Alejandro and Melody Gutierrez Sandoval

Living with extended family and/or friends is nice, but it gets old really quick. That’s why Alex and Melody were ready to get their own place together and start creating their own memories.  They wanted somewhere close to the amenities metro Atlanta has to offer, yet, with a country feel. Melody even said on our first day of looking at properties..”I would like somewhere where you can have chickens”. Huh?  Well, believe it or not, the house they bought was completely re-done, inside and out with a great, large fenced in backyard on a country road. We were greeted by the neighbor’s chickens in the backyard. You can’t make it up! It was meant to be. They closed a month before Thanksgiving and will be serving Turkey, not chickens!
